Buying vintage/used clothing is the most eco-friendly way to shop, however such items often need a modern update before they’re ready for a second life. The staying power of a good pair of Levi’s is undeniable, but I wanted to refresh this pair I scored at Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg by distressing them. I followed this tutorial on one of my favorite DIY blogs P.S. I Made This to create the worn look. Sometimes altering something yourself can be even more satisfying than a trip to the mall. Now I love adding some edge to my favorite feminine tops and strappy heels with these DIY distressed jeans.
