Channel your inner sixties bohemian goddess at Coachella this year with a vintage dress from the era of free love. Buying vintage pieces is my number one way to go green this festival season since most “festival fashion” is inspired by sixties bohemian style. Go authentic, and reduce your carbon footprint, by buying the real thing.
I found this vintage dress hanging at a stand at the Silverlake Farmer’s Market on Sunset Blvd. I couldn’t believe my luck when the waist and length fit me perfectly, as vintage sizes are often limited and may vary from modern sizes. However, the quality craftsmanship of the garment could have easily been altered by my local tailor if needed. I styled it with a chunky silver jewelry and gladiator sandals for a festival outfit, but can’t wait also dress it up with heels or down with a denim jacket throughout this spring and summer.
You don’t even need to travel to the Silverlake farmer’s market (although it’s a great one!) to shop the stall’s amazing pieces. It also has a shop online here.
